Short Bio

Jackie Soraya Warfield (born in Enid, Oklahoma) is a Persian American artist who works with painting. Warfield received her BA, with honors, from the University of California, San Diego in 2007. Meditations of the Sea in 2011 was Warfield’s first solo exhibition in La Jolla. Featuring 20 color and black & white oil paintings of Southern California. In 2017, sounds of the streets featured a series of acrylic paintings on skateboards. In her acrylic studies of Shamanism & Native American Portraits, she explored her connection to life as a single mother and meditation. Warfield is a teaching artist in La Jolla and pursues her studio practice now livestream. Her current paintings in 2020 focus on activism including proceeds going towards nonprofit research and animal charities.
